FAQs

Why choose carpet dyeing?

Dye can solve issues that even the best carpet cleaning equipment cannot fix. Bleach, sun fade, wear or drink dyes are all examples of carpet issues that involve damage to the color of the carpet. You can clean various forms of debris, dirt, spills oils, etc. But cleaning cannot replace the dye that has been removed.

Why not just replace my carpet?

Dyeing your carpet can be done at a fraction of the cost of replacing it. It also saves you the hassle of going through the process of picking new carpet, choosing a color and having it installed.

Can I dye my carpet a darker color?

Yes, you can always go from a lighter color to a darker color when dyeing carpet.

Can I Dye my carpet a lighter color?

Unfortunately, there are limits to what carpet dyeing can currently do. If there is already dark dye in the carpet, it is impossible to make the carpet a lighter color. The dark dye will continue to overpower the lighter color.

What colors can I change my carpet to?

It depends on what color your carpet currently is. If you have a light beige or light grey carpet, you can make it nearly any color you want. If your carpet is colored however, its current dye color will be mixed with the dye that gets added. For example if you have a red carpet and want to make it blue, the blue and red will mix, giving it a purple color instead.

Can you remove dye?

Generally speaking, no. There are some dye removers that work on specific types and colors of dyes from spills, but for our purposes of carpet dyeing, there isn't currently an effective way to safely remove what is already there.
