FAQs
Why choose carpet dyeing?
Dye can solve issues that even the best carpet cleaning equipment cannot fix. Bleach, sun fade, wear or drink dyes are all examples of carpet issues that involve damage to the color of the carpet. You can clean various forms of debris, dirt, spills oils, etc. However, cleaning cannot replace the dye that has been removed.
Why not just replace my carpet?
Dyeing your carpet can be done at a fraction of the cost of replacing it. It also saves you the hassle of going through the process of picking new carpet, choosing a color, and having it installed. In most cases, dyeing can be done very quickly.
Can I dye my carpet a darker color?
Yes, you can always go from a lighter color to a darker color when dyeing carpet.
Can I dye my carpet a lighter color?
Unfortunately, there are limits to what carpet dyeing can do. If there is already dark dye in the carpet, it is impossible to make the carpet a lighter color. Adding more dye to a dark carpet will only make it darker.
What colors can I change my carpet to?
It depends on what color your carpet currently is. If you have a light beige or light grey carpet, you can make it nearly any color you want. If your carpet is colored however, its current dye color will be mixed with the dye that gets added. For example, if you have a red carpet and want to make it blue, the blue and red will mix giving it a purple color instead.
Can you remove dye?
Yes, for spots or small areas. Synthetic or organic dye removers can be applied to get some stains out. For situations where those don't work, controlled bleaching of small spots is also an option. However, performing these methods on an entire room or large rug is not something that can be accomplished safely or cost effectively.
